Note: The book, This Book Is Gay, came on my elementary school campus (grades K-5) through the city Library Book Mobile. When I reported it, it was removed because it's labeled for "young adults". When I asked the Book Mobile Librarian what the age for "young adults" is, he said age 14. It's interesting that in 2021 SB 145 passed in California saying there can be a 10 year age gap for anal or oral sex starting at age 14 (thank you Sen Scott Weiner).
When I asked the Santa Ana Library Director why sexually explicit books are in the Book Mobile that go to schools, parks and zoos in the lowest economic areas of the county, he said that he's getting a lot of pressure to include
them from Political Commissioners. Hmmmm..... Why do Political Commissioners want to teach children about sex hookup apps, how to give "blowies" etc?
